Leduc, AB—Today marks the unveiling of Precise Downhole Solutions, the refreshed company name and brand of Canada’s leader in downhole instrumentation. Entering its 10th year of business, the team at Precise have realigned their corporate outlook to better meet the needs of their customers and the industry as it stands today.
Precise Downhole Solutions is focused on market leading technological solutions that are designed to take our industry into the future. The rebrand was partially prompted to better align with the company’s significant investment into research and development over the past few years.
“It’s been fun and challenging progressing from humble beginnings to where we are now,” President Nathan Frederick said. “It’s been 10 years of building the business and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved. We’ve got fantastic colleagues in the business and a brilliant culture. And I think after a decade of hard work, it’s time to take a more refined look at what we want to offer our current and prospective customer base.”
The company started in 2010 as vision between co-founders Nathan Frederick and Mike Sollid in Edmonton, Alberta. Shortly thereafter Mike Melnychuk joined the team, rounding out the ownership group with his engineering experience. Since the days of drawing deployment methods on graph paper, Precise has evolved into a reliable source providing cutting-edge monitoring technologies.
“When it comes down to it, our customers are still going to be dealing with the same efficient team, culture, and ‘problem solver’ attitude,” said Precise’s Director of Engineering/R&D, Melnychuk. “By revising our brand, we’re creating a real presence in the market that can leverage our existing knowledge and innovation and enhance the experience of all our customers.”
The team at Precise is growing as the group positions itself for the next stage in its journey. Multiple divisional managers alongside technical specialists have been added to the Precise team roster over the past year, bringing the team based out of Nisku, Alberta, up to 60.
This rebrand aligns with our company direction, which is focused on research and development and utilizing the latest technologies to provide a custom solutions package unmatched in the industry. We will continue to provide turn-key services to our customers and focusing on diversifying our customer base both domestically and internationally.
